We are looking for contributions from scholars, journalists, and authors, as well as from emerging voices.

We are interested in opinion pieces, blog entries, book and film reviews, and longer critical essays.

In general, it's best to begin with a pitch describing the story you intend to write in around 100 words. If the story is already written, include up to a 100 word summary of your piece which itself should be between 500-2500 words.

We will respond in a timely way to any submission or query that is in line with our editorial focus. Queries and submissions should be addressed to:

submissions@religiondispatches.org

Use the word "submission" in the subject line, and include "urgent" if the submission is closely linked to a recent or impending news event.

If sending us a final draft of your work, please Include your name, contact information and a brief bio.

Please note: RD is only considering original submissions at this time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
