I’ve grown terribly bored with this subject, so this will be my last post on the Rapture. As folks no doubt have heard by now, Apocalypse prognosticator Harold Camping now says the Rapture really did happen over the weekend, only it was “invisible” and that the End of the World is still on for Oct. 21.
On his Family Radio show Monday, he said, “It won’t be spiritual on October 21st,” adding, “the world is going to be destroyed all together, but it will be very quick.”
Very convenient. That should give disappointed followers five more months to donate to his radio program.
While many Christians joined non-believers Saturday in having a good laugh at all the poor folks taken in by Camping’s message of Judgment Day, they might not want to chuckle too hard. According to a Pew Study, 41 percent believe that the Day of Reckoning is real and by 2050, Jesus Christ will have returned to Earth.
