Ira Helderman

Ira Helderman, PhD, LPC, is a religious studies scholar, psychotherapist in private practice, and Visiting Assistant Professor in Religious Studies at Vanderbilt University. His book Prescribing the Dharma: Psychotherapists, Buddhist Traditions, and Defining Religion is the first comprehensive study of the diverse ways that psychotherapists in the United States have approached Buddhist traditions.
