Neil J. Young is the author of We Gather Together: The Religious Right and the Problem of Interfaith Politics and co-host of the history podcast Past Present. He holds a Ph.D. in U.S. history from Columbia University and previously taught at Princeton University. His writings have appeared in the New York Times, Slate, Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Salon, Marginalia, and American Quarterly.
