Orit Avishai

Orit Avishai is a professor of Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Fordham University and is affiliated with its Center for Jewish Studies. Her book, Queer Judaism: LGBT Activism and the Remaking of Jewish Orthodoxy in Israel is forthcoming in 2023 from New York University Press.
