Andrew Whitehead is an associate professor of sociology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis whose work focuses on religion in the United States. He is the co-author of Taking America Back for God: Christian Nationalism in the United States (Oxford, 2020). He also co-directs the Association of Religion Data Archives.
Samuel Perry is an associate professor of sociology and religious studies at the University of Oklahoma. He is the author of Growing God’s Family (NYU, 2017), Addicted to Lust (Oxford, 2019), and Taking America Back for God (Oxford, 2020) co-authored with Andrew Whitehead. His work examines the interplay of power and culture within the empirical contexts of American religion, race relations, politics, and sexuality.
