Samuel L. Perry is an assistant professor sociology and religious studies at the University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on the changing dynamics of American religion, politics, race, families, and sexuality. He is the author of numerous articles and 3 books, the most recent of which is Taking America Back for God: Christian Nationalism in the United States (with Andrew Whitehead). Andrew L. Whitehead is an associate professor of sociology at Clemson University and Assistant Director of The ARDA. The author of numerous articles, his work explores the connections between religion, Christian nationalism, politics, and disability. He is the lead author (with Samuel Perry) of Taking America Back for God: Christian Nationalism in the United States. Joseph O. Baker is an associate professor of sociology at East Tennessee State University and the editor-elect of Sociology of Religion: A Quarterly Review. He is scholar of religion and deviance whose research has covered a number of topics including secularism, punishment, religious evil, paranormal behaviors, and fear.
