The conservative Traditional Values Coalition is miffed that Republican VP hopeful Sarah Palin won’t get the opportunity to jump on Oprah Winfrey’s couch.
Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has refused to interview Vice Presidential Candidate Gov. Sarah Palin, claiming she does not want her show to be used “as a platform for any of the candidates.” Yet she invited Sen. Barack Obama to appear on her show and then endorsed him for President.
I’m thinking of signing on to TVC’s letter to Oprah protesting her decision. I think Oprah should have Palin on as quickly as possible—it would be one of the best interviews on television. Oprah has been known to coddle her guests, but I have a feeling that Sarah would not feel comfortable on Oprah’s couch.
Yes, Oprah has endorsed Obama and is clear on who she wants to occupy the office of president and vice president. Palin would not be receiving donuts or coffee or warm hugs and smiles from Oprah. She would get the treatment she needs to be receiving from the lapdog media. Palin would get the grilling she should be getting.
It would make some incredible television—and I’m with the TVC—c’mon Oprah, fluff a pillow and put Palin on the couch.
